I've been playing the new Pokemon game despite the fact that I have a great deal of better things to do (if you can call essays "better")...

It's AWESOME.

Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions

I played the original at least once every year since it came out when I was TWELVE, and the PSP re-release is amazing. The entire game is re-translated, there are new classes, new story battles, new cutscenes, and they added two multi-player modes. Absolutely incredible.

I would have to say almost any game square enix comes out with. They have made better and better games these past years and their have been getting awesome reviews.

Not really saying that. I play drake's uncharted fortune and some rpg's other than final fantasy (( Because to much of one thing is bad :| )) And im sorta liking them. Just got finished with shadow of the colossus.

I have to disagree on Bethesda. Oblivion, for all its beauty, was very frustrating to play for me because of how poorly the scaling worked. It was like "HEY! LOOK! We have a very boring main plot and a bunch of interesting subplots! Just get out there and explore and choose which one you want to do! Oh, you did something else first? Guess what, the main plot is now literally impossible because you spend most of it escorting people around who will be instantly slaughtered if you did so much as one other quest... except for this one guy who scales to your level if you do the first Fighter's Guild quest, but he's the only one.

What's the fun of all the exploring and the beautiful landscapes if any playing in them at all renders the game unwinable?

As for the Final Fantasy games, I think that 8 was bad, and twelve was terrible. I think the others have been at least Mostly OK. Thirteen is proving to be exactly what twelve should have been in my opinion.

would you rather have a game that is very linear like 13, you can beat oblivion ive done it many times its not hard the story in the game is short but with the vast world and the many side missions that ther are to do it keeps the game going on and on and keeps you addicted to it.

if you want to talk about plot how about we talk about one of my favorite games ever and one of the best games of this year heavy rain, that game was fantastic and kept me going from the first minute i put it in until i beat it, the best story based game i have ever played in my opinion
