Lamia Muertes
Takes place after WWI ( November 11, 1918 ) || The weather is chilling.
Still the feel of Victorian Era (and a bit of steam punk).
Town Trivium

Code: Select all
As there are numerous legends, myths and lore on the topic of vampires, there are endless combinations that can be used to create a unique vampire. This includes other related areas such as methods to become a vampire and methods to rid a vampire.

Defining who vampires are in this universe:

Vampire:
  • Can still age (slowly)
  • Can be born
  • Can impregnate
  • Can walk in daylight
  • Has a reflection
  • Do not have fangs
  • Can shape shift
    • Younger vampires can shift 1-2 forms
    • Older/Powerful vampires can shift 1-5 forms
Limits: They are stuck in whatever form they are in during the day
    Normal Situation
Vampires can easily blend in with humans and harder to detect during the day; they act like ordinary people. Most vampires are smart and would hunt during the night, where they have the darkness as their advantage. (Y'know cuz it's hard to see in the dark and sh*t.)

    Desperate Situation
Though there are also vampires who starve and can attack during the day, out of hunger. People would be able to recognize them in the day and then attack back.

    Wings: Midnight
  • Some may have wings: Cannot fly but can glide
In this universe these wings are called Midnight because they are pitch black. Some would say they are made of darkness.
    • Not all vampires have this gift.
    • Vampires can summon their wings at will
    • Having Midnight does not able them to fly
-Wings are not strong enough to support the weight
    • Can be used to glide down safely from a great height
    • Are detachable/attachable
    • Midnight can shift into any melee weapons (requires skills to do it) no guns
    • Midnight can be lost and stolen by other vampires
-Which means vampires can appear to have one wing/ three wings etc.

Creation Method:
  • A black cat jumping over a corpse (by death)
  • Eating sheep killed by a wolf (by self-willed)
    ------------
  • Exchanging blood: Biting/drain and share blood/ etc. (classic method)
    • Both parties must exchange blood at least a spoonful.

Defeat Method:

  • Anything humans can die from but require more work/effort
    (since vampires are naturally stronger)
    • Blood lose: Removal of the heart/Limbs/Decapitation (duh)
    • Getting shot at/getting hit by a car/ etc. (duh)
    -----------------More Effective ways
  • Silver that has been properly blessed by a Priest
    • Silver Stake
    • Silver Bullets
  • Holy Water
    • Skin will burn || Requires a lot of it to actually kill them.
    • Injecting holy water will work more effectively || Will act like radiation poisoning

The Black Cat

Coal / Male / Age: -

Since the time is right after WWI and towns still dealing with famine, people would use their house pets as their source of food supply. Thus, cats and dogs were eaten. Coal is a black cat, a special black cat that can shape shift into a human form. This helps him avoid certain death, but his family was not as lucky. Humans ate coal’s family and now he is one of the few remaining cats around town. He gets into more trouble than he needs to be, mainly because someone is out to eat him.

Coal also holds some mysterious powers, one of which is the shape shifting ability. The other, he is able to change corpses into vampires. However, he does not do this often. Any other ability he might have is something he himself does not even know yet.

On a cold winter night, he snuck into a house only to keep warm. However, the residents of the home eventually caught him there, which lead to a brawl. During the midst of the fight, fire caught loose and the house burnt down. Coal was able to escape with minor injuries, but the people who lived in the home all perished into ashes...except for a boy. Nonetheless, the boy was still dead and was to be buried in the town’s graveyard.

Coal felt great remorse and believed it was his fault for the cause of the boy's death. He then remembered a saying that cat were able to change a corpse back to the living, simply by jumping over them. There wasn't much else to go on but he gave it a go. In his form of a cat, he jump over the corpse and transformed the boy into a vampire.

Act 1

Postby Lahti » Thu Jul 17, 2014 12:48 pm

Act 1: Vampires vs Vampires

Vampires has made Town Trivium there home, alongside with humans. Of course, humans are not so happy with that fact. However, there isn't much that can be done when it's difficult for them to tell the difference between humans and vampires...unless they catch them in the act obviously.

Vampires surely don't need to rely on human blood every single day, they can eat regular foods like normal humans can do too. Though they all know, a healthy amount of blood is needed to keep them thriving. So a standard was made to keep themselves in check:
Code of Living wrote:
Kill to be well
Not kill to kill

  • Do not kill for the sake of killing
    • Do not kill children
    • Do not kill the innocent
Simple rules to keep the town at peace...well as peaceful as it can get. Breaking these rules would result vampires being turned-in to the humans to be judged.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Problem:
As of late, it has been evident that someone in the vampire community is killing for the sake of it. The innocent and children being murdered left-and-right left humans in a panic.

Some vampires are indifferent about the situation while others want to fix the problem. Those vampires who wished to mend the issue form their own group to fight for the innocent and children. Humans too take a part in this. Those daredevil humans fight alongside the vampires to help them.

Act 2

Postby Lahti » Thu Jul 17, 2014 12:50 pm

Act 2: Vampire vs Humans
(Priests)

While the first problematic issue was ending, a new issue spurred into existence. Despite the fact that people were so occupied rebelling against each other, they have failed to notice that this was the perfect chance for the priest of Trivium to strike back at the vampires. The priest did not care about who was bad or good vampires. The priest saw them all as one, and thus should all be punished as one.

Priest wrote:
Expel the beasts from existence...

The priest had the time to bless sliver stakes and bullets properly, reclaimed holy water and gather people around town who thought the same way. Now this new group was armed with tools to defeat vampires effectively.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Problem:
Fighting against the priest and their followers.

Act 3

Postby Lahti » Mon Jul 21, 2014 10:27 am

Act 3: Vampires vs Werewolves

Vampires are surely not invincible; if they were, they would have no fear. Oh, but we all know they have a fear of something… All this time they hid and blended in with the humans. If they stood out from the crowd, the people would fear them, judge them…kill them. It’s no different than how humans treat witches or others who are not the same.

People fear what they don't understand and hate what they can't conquer…

Again, humans have a difficult time detecting vampires. One of the many creatures that can sense vampire’s presence is wolves. Though vampires and wolves have some sort of treaty, which is why one of the methods to become a vampire is through eating a sheep that has been killed by a wolf. However, not all wolves are actually allies with vampires, particularly white wolves. Vampires fear them greatly, but luckily, white wolves haven’t been near Town Trivium.

Unfortunately, during the fights against the humans and the priests, enough blood split has been made for white wolves to notice the presence of vampires in this town.

Problem:
Dealing with white werewolves along with priest and humans.
